Abstract:

A walk training system (1) is provided with: center of gravity position detecting units (3) which respectively detect the position of the center of gravity of the rear surface of the left and right feet of a subject (P) from variations in the load on the rear surfaces of each foot, as measured using foot load measuring units attached to the rear surfaces of the left and right feet of the subject (P); gripping load detecting units (20) which detect forces that are applied in a vertical direction and/or an opposite direction and that act on grip units (10A, B) attached to a walk training device (2); an evaluation index generating unit which, on the basis of a relationship whereby an increase and a decrease in a force is repeated periodically in synchronism with the timing with which loads acting at the position of the center of gravity of the rear surfaces of the left and right feet of the subject (P), as detected by the center of gravity position detecting units (3), switches between left and right, generates an evaluation index for quantitatively reflecting a transition in a reduction of the force acting on the grip units (10A, B) as detected by the gripping load detecting units (20); and a sensory transmission unit (15) which causes a transmission signal corresponding to the evaluation index to be fed back to the subject in a sensory form.
