Abstract:
Provided is a walking assistance vehicle with which a decline in travel capability on a bad path is prevented and runaway travel on an incline is prevented. A control which a CPU executes while the walking assistance vehicle is in a travel assist mode comprises: a step (S450) of determining whether a force with which a user presses on a grip is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold; a step (S410) of switching on a stopping brake if a given time has elapsed since the force which presses on the grip has stopped in the event that the force with which the user presses on the grip is less than or equal to the threshold (Yes in step S460); a step (S440) of executing a movement control if the force with which the user presses on the grip is not less than or equal to the predetermined threshold (No in step S450); and a step (S440) of executing the movement control if the given time has not elapsed since the force which presses on the grip has stopped (No in step S460).
