Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of terminals, and discloses a walking detection method and a device, for improving accuracy of walking detection. The method comprises: a terminal acquiring, by means of detection by a sensor module, multiple consecutive three-axis angular velocities; determining, by means of a processor, multiple angular velocity norms corresponding to the multiple consecutive three-axis angular velocities, wherein a correspondence is formed between the multiple angular velocity norms and four time intervals on the basis of a detection duration of the three-axis angular velocities, and the four time intervals are determined by the terminal according to a first threshold and a second threshold in accordance with a temporal order of detection; and assessing, by means of the processor, whether the multiple angular velocity norms meet a condition, and determining that a user has taken a step, the condition comprising: an angular velocity norm corresponding to a first time interval being less than the first threshold, an angular velocity norm corresponding to a second time interval being not less than the first threshold and not greater than the second threshold, an angular velocity norm corresponding to a third time interval being greater than the second threshold, and an angular velocity norm corresponding to a fourth time interval being not less than the first threshold and not greater than the second threshold.
