Abstract:
The present invention relates to a swimming pool wall inlet that simultaneously converts into a wall inlet and safe, flexible, valveless wall fountain by attaching an L-shaped water connector (elbow), the lower end of the connector being joined to a movable eyeball of the wall inlet with a toothed outer joint attached thereto. To allow the connector to have two functions (wall inlet and fountain) at once, a special lateral opening is made in the connector opposite the lower opening thereof, thereby providing the connector with one lower water inlet and two water outlets, an upper outlet for a pipe and a lateral outlet for the wall inlet. The lateral opening has a special design in the shape of a large square on top of a small rectangle. When the lateral opening is closed, only the square is blocked and the cylinder remains permanently open to allow the continuous circulation of water into the pool. To switch the release of the water between the upper and lateral outlets, a fountain pipe is inserted into the upper opening of the connector and secured with a nut. When the pipe is pushed down, the lateral opening partially closes, partially driving the water into the fountain pipe. When the pipe is pulled up, the lateral opening opens fully, and the water exits through the opening and not through the pipe. The fountain pipe is covered by a spring that has three functions: the upper end thereof at the top of the pipe protects swimming pool users if they bump into the pipe, protects the pipe from breakage, and allows the pipe to enter the connector up to a certain limit. The fountain can be made from plastic or metal or a combination thereof, in a range of colours.
