A control method for a wall-mounted air conditioner indoor unit, comprising: on the basis of the air supply range of a cross-flow fan (200) on the left and right sides in the housing (100) of a wall-mounted air conditioner indoor unit, pre-dividing the indoor unit into a left section and a right section; at predetermined time intervals, respectively acquiring the body surface temperature and body position information of a user in the left section and the right section; on the basis of the body surface temperature and body position information of a user in the left section and the right section, respectively determining the rotation speed and output wind direction of the cross-flow fan (200) on both sides and/or the output wind temperature of the indoor unit. Also provided is a wall-mounted air conditioner indoor unit. The control method for the wall-mounted air conditioner indoor unit and the indoor unit can set the best output wind mode on the basis of the user requirements and the actual condition of the indoor unit, such that the air supply of the indoor unit is smarter, improving the user experience.
