Abstract:
Provided is a wall structure which can be used for outer corners to thereby provide an enhanced appearance and an improved water resistance and eliminate the necessity of additional works for preventing dislocation. The wall structure includes a wall member (10) which has a rectangular plate-shaped surface, a projected shiplap portion (13) on the upper side, and a recessed shiplap portion on the lower side. The wall member is adapted such that a boundary (11) between the surface and at least one end is formed to be curved or polyhedral, and painted in the same manner as the surface. The wall member is also provided, in the vicinity of a rear end in contact with that end, with a groove (12) which fits over a projected portion (28) of a joiner (26) (retainer hardware or stopper) in contact with the rear of the wall member. The wall member has a seam that is less obtrusive than a conventional sealing structure and thus provides an enhanced appearance. Furthermore, the wall member (10) would not be dislocated in the horizontal direction even if the wall member is not additionally secured.
