Abstract:
A warehouse management system and a scheduling method. The warehouse management system comprises an order container, inventory containers, and movable vehicles carrying at least one of the order container and the inventory containers. According to at least one of a minimum loading/unloading quantity of the inventory containers and a minimum transfer quantity of the movable vehicles, a control apparatus determines a target inventory container and a target movable vehicle where the target inventory container is located. The warehouse management system further comprises a workstation for docking the movable vehicle, and a loading/unloading device and a transfer device for moving the order container and/or the target inventory container between the workstation and the movable vehicle. The transfer device is used for transferring the target movable vehicle and the movable vehicle carrying the order container to a same workstation. The workstation is configured to perform a sorting operation on at least one target inventory container and a distribution operation on at least one order container.
