Abstract:
A warning light assembly for attachment to a vehicle has a plurality of lighting units (11) arranged to direct light beams out through a light- transmissive peripheral edge. The casing (1) has a base plate (4) and a removable cover plate (3) which cooperate to form an enclosure and each lighting unit (11) is arranged to mate with complementary portions of the base plate cover plate to locate and retain each lighting unit within the enclosure. The assembly may be modular in construction with port and starboard end modules (5, 7, 8, 10) linked through one or more connecting modules (6, 9). The arrangement allows for simple assembly and disassembly of warning light assemblies, including capability to vary the length of the assembly.
