Abstract:
A warning sound output device (100) is mounted on a vehicle such as an electric automobile. A road information acquisition unit (101) acquires information regarding the number of lanes of a road whereon the vehicle is traveling and regarding the width of said road. A position information acquisition unit (102) acquires information regarding the travel position of the vehicle. An output unit (103) outputs a warning sound to the outside of the vehicle on the basis of the information regarding the number of lanes and the information regarding the travel position. The output unit (103) outputs a warning sound in a case, for example, where the number of lanes of the road is not more than one in one direction or where the width of the road is not larger than a predetermined value.
