Claims:
CLAIMS

1. A warning system (1 ), which can warn the vehicles for wide and long vehicles by communicating with the vehicles, and which thus enables to prevent possible accidents, basically characterized by

at least one control unit (2) which is adapted to generate the information that will be sent and to process the received information,

at least one communication unit (3) which can be connected to the control unit (2) and which is adapted to send and receive the information,

- at least one warning unit (4) which is adapted to give warning to the driver in accordance with the information received from the control unit (2),

- at least one display (5) which is adapted to inform the driver visually about the other vehicles in accordance with the information received from the control unit (2).

2. A warning system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the control unit (2) which can process the speed, length, width, etc. information of the vehicle that will be passed in accordance with the information received via the communication unit (3).

3. A warning system (1 ) according to Claim I, characterized by the control unit (2) which can inform the user about the safe driving speed, safe braking distance, safe passing (overtaking) speed and the safe distance required to return to the lane.

4. A warning system (1) according to Claim 1 , characterized by the control unit (2) which can receive information of the vehicle to which it is connected such as the speed, length, width, etc. via the vehicle elements preferably such as the engine.

5. A warning system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the control unit (2) which can send the safety information required by the other vehicles to them via the communication unit (3). 6. A warning system (1 ) according to Claim 1 , characterized by the communication unit (3) which preferably communicates in a wireless manner.

7. A warning system (1 ) according to Claim 1, characterized by the communication unit (3) which employs wireless communication methods such as V2x, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, GPRS, LTE, etc.

8. A warning system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the warning unit (4) which preferably gives an audio warning.

A warning system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the display (5) which may give an audio and visual warning.

Description:
A WARNING SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION

Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a warning system which can warn the vehicles for wide and long vehicles by communicating with the vehicles and which thus enables to prevent possible accidents.

Background of the Invention

All load-carrying vehicles traveling on the highways have to comply with the specified height, width and length limits. A load larger than the permitted sizes can only be carried by a special permit and provided that there is a vehicle escorting the load carrying vehicle equipped with warning plates and lighting specified by the law are arranged thereon. This situation causes the burden of finding another vehicle to escort the load carrying vehicle and unproductive labor and unnecessary fuel consumption.

The United States patent document no. US4028662 (A), an application in the state of the art, discloses an apparatus installed within a wide vehicle. There are two sensing units in the apparatus mounted to the front sides of the vehicle. Each sensor detects the distance between the vehicle and the other vehicle passing by it. The sensors utilize sound, radio or light waves. A comparator circuit compares the range of the vehicle being scrutinized with the predetermined range. A warning light is provided in the system.

Chinese Utility Model document no. CN202120447 (U), an application known in the state of the art, discloses an electronic road information acquisition system. The system is arranged on a set road section and comprises vehicle identification units, piezoelectric sensing units, control units and wireless transmission units. The vehicle identification units are used for identifying whether a vehicle passes and piezoelectric sensing units are used for collecting vehicle weight, speed and type information.

Summary of the Invention

The objective of the present invention is to provide a warning system which can warn the vehicles for wide and long vehicles by communicating with the vehicles.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a warning system which enables to prevent possible accidents.

Detailed Description of the Invention

A warning system developed to fulfill the objective of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figure wherein:

The components in the figures are given reference numbers as follows:

A warning system (1), which can warn the vehicles for wide and long vehicles by communicating with the vehicles, and which thus enables to prevent possible accidents, basically includes at least one control unit (2) which is adapted to generate the information that will be sent and to process the received information.

at least one communication unit (3) which can be connected to the control unit (2) and which is adapted to send and receive the information,

- at least one warning unit (4) which is adapted to give warning to the driver in accordance with the information received from the control unit (2),

- at least one display (5) which is adapted to inform the driver visually about the other vehicles in accordance with the information received from the control unit (2).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the warning system (1) of the present invention includes thereon a control unit (2) which is adapted to generate the information that will be sent and to process the received information, and a communication unit (3) which can be connected to the control unit (2) and which is adapted to send and receive the information. The warning system (1) further comprises a warning unit (4) which is adapted to give warning to the driver in accordance with the information received from the control unit (2) and a display (5) which is adapted to inform the driver visually about the other vehicles in accordance with the information received from the control unit (2).

In one embodiment of the invention, the control unit (2) provided in the warning system (1) of the present invention can process the speed, length, width, etc. information of the vehicle that will be passed in accordance with the information received via the communication unit (3). This way, the control unit (2) can inform the user about the safe driving speed, safe braking distance, safe passing (overtaking) speed and the safe distance required to return to the lane.

In another embodiment of the invention, the control unit (2) provided in the warning system (1 ) of the present invention can receive information of the vehicle to which it is connected such as the speed, length, width, etc. via the vehicle elements preferably such as the engine, and this way can send the safety information required by the other vehicles to them via the communication unit (3).

In another embodiment of the invention, the communication unit (3) provided on the warning system ( 1) of the present invention preferably communicates with the other vehicles in a wireless manner. Furthermore the communication unit (3) may employ wireless communication methods such as V2x, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, GPRS, LTE, etc. In one embodiment of the invention, the warning unit (4) provided on the warning system (1) of the present invention may preferably give an audio warning. Furthermore, the display (5) provided on the warning system (1) of the present invention may give an audio and visual warning. In another embodiment of the invention, thanks to the warning system (1) of the present invention, a load carrying vehicle which should travel with a special pennit can travel on the roads without an escort vehicle. This way, requirement of an extra vehicle, unproductive labor and fuel consumption expenses are eliminated.

In another embodiment of the invention, since information such as width, length, instant traveling speed of the vehicle can be conveyed to all of the vehicles around the vehicle to which the warning system (1) of the present invention is installed, the warning system (1) enables the other drivers to evaluate whether it is suitable to make a passing maneuver. This in turn helps reduce traffic accidents and can ensure safe driving.
