Title:
WASHER DEVICE FOR PREVENTING LOOSENESS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/067973
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A washer device for preventing looseness reduced in thickness, simplified in part configuration to lower cost, and capable of automatically following up the looseness of a connection part formed of a bolt and a nut due to secular change such as the shrinkage of connected members to continuously and firmly prevent the connection part from being loosened, wherein one or both of a pair of washers are formed in dome washers having bolt insert holes, an annular elastic body around which a power spring is wound is disposed in a clearance between the spherical part of one washer and the part of the other washer opposed to the one washer which is gradually narrowed from the outer periphery to the center thereof, the power spring radially expanded by an expansion force caused by screwing is wound in like a snake by a restoring force to act the power spring as a wedge continuously separating the pair of washers from each other. Thus, the connection part can be prevented from being loosened due to the shrinkage of the connected members.
