Abstract:
The present invention relates to a washing apparatus and a controlling method thereof. A washing apparatus according to one embodiment comprises: a tub that accommodates water; a rotating tub rotatably installed inside the tub; a ball balancer provided in the rotating tub; a washing motor that rotates the rotating tub; a control unit that drives a drain motor on the basis of completion of a washing or rinsing cycle, drives a washing motor for a first time on the basis of a water level in the tub reaching a first water level, and stops the washing motor and the drain motor on the basis of the first time elapsing.
