A washing device has a washing tank (2) having a rotation axis extending in the horizontal direction or a direction tilted from the horizontal direction, the washing tank (2) having formed on the inner wall surface thereof an uneven curved surface (22) and baffles (25), the baffles (25) protruding in the direction to the rotation axis. A quasi-zero-gravity cleaning method which causes less damage to an object to be cleaned is performed by rotating the washing tank (2) while the level of a cleaning liquid, which is supplied to the washing tank (2), is set higher than the rotation axis. Also, a beat washing method having high water saving effect is performed by rotating the washing tank (2) while the level of the cleaning liquid, which is supplied to the washing tank (2), is set lower than the rotation axis.
