A washing machine and a control method therefor, and a washing machine system, the washing machine (100) being suitable for establishing a network connection with a cloud server (200), wherein water quality data corresponding to a plurality of different geographical locations is stored in the cloud server (200). The invention comprises the following steps: a washing machine (100) and a cloud server (200) establish a network connection in order to acquire the geographical location of the washing machine (100); the washing machine (100) acquires water quality data corresponding to said geographical location from the cloud server (200); the washing machine (100), on the basis of the water quality data, determines washing parameters; the washing machine (100), on the basis of the washing parameters, adjusts the washing program, and controls the washing machine (100) to operate according to the adjusted washing program. The present washing machine control method, taking into account the impact of water quality on clothes washing, improves the effects of washing.
