Abstract:
A washing machine and a control method thereof, the washing machine comprising an inner tub (17), independently holding washing water when washing clothing; an electromagnetic heating apparatus (33), heating water in the inner tub (17); a contactless temperature detection apparatus (34), detecting a water temperature in the inner tub (17); or, detecting a temperature in the inner tub (17); the contactless temperature detection apparatus (34) and the electromagnetic heating apparatus (33) each being electrically connected to a master controller (4) of the washing machine; a washing machine control unit determining a current water temperature in the inner tub (17) according to a result returned by the contactless temperature detection apparatus (34), and controlling the electromagnetic heating apparatus (33) to turn on and off. By means of integrating an electromagnetic heating apparatus (33) and a contactless temperature detection apparatus (34), control of water temperature in a washing machine having a non-porous inner tub is realized; the device is simple, accuracy is high, ease of control is strong, and the invention effectively prevents water temperature being too low or too high affecting ordinary operation of the washing machine.
