Abstract:
Provided are a washing machine and a control method of the washing machine, wherein the washing machine comprises: a tub; a drum in the tub; a motor which rotates the drum; a vibration sensor which detects vibration of the tub generated by rotation of the drum during a dehydration stroke, and generates a vibration value corresponding to the vibration of the tub; and a control unit which stops the motor to stop the dehydration stroke on the basis of the vibration value exceeding a vibration tolerance standard, the vibration value being generated by the vibration sensor during the dehydration stroke, and then restarts the dehydration stroke, and changes the vibration tolerance standard on the basis of the number of times the dehydration stroke is restarted among a plurality of washing cycles.
