Abstract:
A washing machine disclosed herein comprises: a housing; a tub that is provided inside the housing; a drain case that is connected to the tub and configured to receive water from the tub; a filter that is detachably mounted on the drain case and configured to filter substances from water; a pump that is connected to the drain case; and a control unit that controls the pump to discharge water in the drain case to the outside of the drain case while the filter is separated from the drain case.
