A washing machine damping assembly and a washing machine, the damping assembly comprising: a boom (1), one end of the boom (1) being connected to the washing machine box body/outer drum; also comprising a first elastic structure (2), one end of the first elastic structure (2) being provided with a hanging rod (21) connected to the washing machine box body/outer drum, the other end being connected to the boom (1) by means of a connecting member (23) slidably arranged on the boom (1); and a second elastic structure (3), the second elastic structure (3) being arranged inside the first elastic structure (2), one end thereof also been connected to the boom (1); the boom (1) is arranged to move axially relative to the hanging rod (21) and, when moving, to cause the first elastic structure (2) and the second elastic structure (3) to deform. The present damping assembly significantly enhances the damping effect, occupies little space, and reduces noise during the washing process; the damping assembly cannot easily collide with the internal structure of the washing machine.
