Abstract:
This washing machine comprises: a cabinet; a tub disposed inside the cabinet; a drum rotatably provided inside the tub; at least one damper coupled to the cabinet and the tub and including a magneto-rheological fluid, which changes in viscosity in response to a magnetic field, and at least one coil, which generates the magnetic field; and a control unit which controls the voltage applied to the at least one coil on the basis of the rotation speed of the drum and the vibration value of the tub, in order to generate the magnetic field that changes the viscosity of the magneto-rheological fluid and thereby reduces the vibration of the tub due to the rotation of the drum.
