Abstract:
This method for controlling a washing machine of the present invention comprises the steps of: supplying a first predetermined quantity of water together with a detergent into a tub, performing a first drum operation, which involves rotating a drum at a first drum rotation speed, at least one time while the water is being supplied, and performing a pump variable-speed operation, which involves accelerating the pump from a first pump rotation speed to a second pump rotation speed and then decelerating the same to the first pump rotation speed, at least one time during the first drum operation; and operating a heater for heating the water inside the tub in a state in which the first predetermined quantity of water has been supplied into the tub, performing a second drum operation, which involves rotating the drum at a second drum rotation speed, at least one time while the heater is being operated, and performing a pump constant speed operation in which the pump is operated at a third pump rotation speed at least one time during the second drum operation.
