Abstract:
A washing machine and a motor (1) for a washing machine. The washing machine comprises: a washing drum and a motor (1) configured to drive the washing drum to rotate around a rotation axis of the washing drum. The motor (1) is a bipolar single-phase induction motor; the motor comprises: a stator (10), the stator (10) being provided with a rotor containing cavity (11); and a rotor (20), the rotor (20) being arranged in the rotor containing cavity (11) and in magnetic coupling with the stator (10), wherein the ratio of an inner diameter of the stator (10) to a minimum outer diameter of the stator (10) is not greater than 0.49.
