Abstract:
A washing machine is disclosed. The washing machine comprises: a communication unit; a display; a sensor for sensing the temperature of water remaining in the washing machine; and a processor which: when it is determined that the temperature sensed by the sensor is lower than or equal to a first temperature, receives data on the atmospheric temperature of a region where the washing machine is located from an application server through the communication unit, and transmits the received data on the atmospheric temperature to a data server through the communication unit such that the received data on the atmospheric temperature is transmitted to a user terminal device by the data server; and when it is determined that the temperature sensed by the sensor decreases and is lower than or equal to a second temperature lower than the first temperature, controls the display to display a notification regarding the freezing of the washing machine, and transmits the notification to the application server through the communication unit such that the notification is transmitted to the user terminal device by the application server.
