Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a washing machine pump and a washing machine. The washing machine pump comprises: a pump casing, a filter cavity and an impeller cavity communicated with each other being provided in the pump casing, the pump casing being provided with a water inlet and a water outlet, and the filter cavity being communicated with the water inlet, the impeller cavity, and the water outlet to form a water path; and a filter element provided in the filter cavity and used for filtering water flowing through, the filter element being installed on an impeller in the impeller cavity, and the filter element being installed in the filter cavity rotatably together with the impeller. In the present application, the filter element is connected to a rotating shaft provided in the center of the impeller, so that the filter element can rotate around the shaft together with the impeller, such that the effective mesh size of the filter holes of a filter screen laid on the side wall of the cylindrical filter element is reduced, and the lint in the water flow that is smaller than the size of the filter holes can still be intercepted by the filter screen, thereby achieving a significant technical progress of effectively intercepting the tiny lint in the water flow.
