Disclosed is a washing machine washing with spray and floating action, wherein a gap between an inner drum (2) and an outer drum (1) is in communication with an inner water channel (13) of wave wheel (3) via a connecting water channel (6) provided with a water pump (9); and washing water between the inner and outer drums passes through the connecting water channel and the wave wheel inner water channel and is sprayed into the inner drum by means of spray holes (14) provided on a surface of the wave wheel, and upwardly sprayed water columns are formed in the inner drum which wash laundry. With the above-mentioned arrangement, upwelling water columns are continually formed in the inner drum, thereby washing laundry and alleviating the phenomenon of entwined laundry caused by repeated reversals, and thus avoiding damage to laundry caused by becoming entangled. Moreover, since laundry is continually rolled over in the washing process, the contact area between the laundry and the washing water is increased, and friction is produced between items of laundry, effectively increasing the washing efficiency.
