Abstract:
A washing machine according to the present invention comprises: a housing that has an opening on the front side thereof; a tub which is provided inside the housing and in which washing water is retained; a sliding device that elastically supports the tub; a drum that is rotatably provided inside the tub; a motor that rotationally drives the drum; and a tub opening that is provided at the top of the tub in a peripheral side surface thereof such that the tub opening can be opened and closed. The washing machine further comprises: a drum opening, through which laundry is put in and taken out, that is provided in a peripheral side surface of the drum such that the drum opening can be opened and closed; and a tub vibration reducing means that reduces vibration of the tub when the sliding device moves in a sliding manner. The sliding device includes: a sliding part that allows the tub to slide in the forward and backward directions between a pulled-out position at which the tub is pulled out such that the tub opening is exposed from the housing and a stored position at which the tub is stored inside the housing; a damper device that elastically supports the tub from below; and a spring device that elastically supports the tub from above.
