Abstract:
A washing machine (1) having a washing drum (13) is provided with a first pulley (22) which rotates about the central axis (CA) of the washing drum (13), a plurality of second pulleys (23) coupled to the first pulley (22) via a belt (25), and a plurality of motors (24) for rotating the plurality of second pulleys (23) in the same direction and at the same rotating speed. The pulley ratios between the first pulley (22) and each of the plurality of second pulleys (23) are all the same. The plurality of motors (24) include at least a first motor (24a) and a second motor (24b). The axis of rotation (AR1) of the first motor (24a) is positioned in a region on the opposite side to the axis of rotation (AR2) of the second motor (24b) with a plane comprising the central axis (CA) as the boundary plane therebetween and perpendicularly intersects a plane perpendicularly intersecting the central axis (CA) and the axis of rotation (AR2) of the second motor (24b), or is positioned upon the aforementioned boundary plane.
