Abstract:

A washing machine according to the present invention comprises: a casing having an insertion hole for inserting laundry thereinto on the front surface thereof; a tub disposed in the casing and containing laundry water and having a front surface open so as to communicate with the insertion hole; a drum, rotatably disposed within the tub, for accommodating laundry; a tubular gasket for making the insertion hole communicate with an inlet of the tub; a pump for pumping water discharged from the tub; a guide pipe fixed to the gasket and forming an annular flow passage for guiding water supplied from the pump; and a plurality of nozzles for spraying water supplied through the guide pipe into the drum, wherein the plurality of nozzles comprises: an upper nozzle for spraying water downward; a pair of intermediate nozzles, disposed on the lower side of the upper nozzle and individually disposed on both left and right sides with respect to an inlet of the guide pipe through which water supplied by the pump flows, for spraying water downward, the water being sprayed into the drum more deeply compared to the upper nozzle; and a pair of lower nozzles, disposed on an higher part than the inlet and on a lower part than the intermediate nozzle and individually disposed on both left and right sides with respect to the inlet, for spraying water upward.
