Abstract:
Provided is a washing machine comprising: a housing; a water tank supported within the housing; a drum rotatably disposed within the water tank; a tank (117) for containing a liquid agent; a tank containing case (114) for containing the tank (117); and an automatic liquid agent supply device (109) for automatically supplying to the drum the liquid agent contained within the tank (117). The automatic liquid agent supply device (109) has a pump unit (111) for sucking in the liquid agent which is contained within the tank (117) and discharging the liquid agent. The liquid agent discharged from the pump unit (111) falls under gravity and is supplied to the water tank. In the provided washing machine, the liquid agent discharged from the automatic liquid agent supply device (109) is prevented from remaining in and adhering to the inside of a liquid agent supply water passage.
