A washing machine (100) is provided with: casing legs (150); and a casing (102) having a top surface, a front surface, a rear surface, a left side surface, and a right side surface. The washing machine (100) is supported by the casing legs (150). The washing machine (100) is provided with a washing machine body (140) housed in the casing (102). The washing machine body (140) includes a rotary drum (105) which is supported so as to be rotated by a rotary shaft and in which clothes, etc., are housed; a tank (101) which houses the rotary drum (150); and a driving device (110) which rotatably drives the rotary drum (150). The washing machine body (140) includes a base frame (104) which is disposed below the tank (101), base frame legs (151) which are disposed below the base frame (104) and which come into contact with a floor, and a suspension mechanism (103) which is disposed between the tank (101) and the base frame (104) so as to support the tank (101) in a vibration-proof manner. The washing machine body (140) is supported by the base frame legs (151) without being in contact with the casing (102).
