Abstract:
A washing machine preventing a door latch unit (80) from being damaged when a door handle (52) located at a locking position is rotated toward an opening position in a door locking state. The washing machine (1) is provided with the door handle (52), a rotating shaft (53) and a connecting mechanism (T) for connecting the door handle (52) and the rotating shaft (53), when the door handle (52) located at the opening position is rotated towards the locking position, and when the door handle (52) located at the locking position is rotated towards the opening position in the state in which rotation of a door locking lever (53a) is not stopped by the door latch unit (80), the connecting mechanism (T) enables rotation of the rotating shaft (53) to be in accordance with rotation of the door handle (52), moreover, when the door handle (52) located at the locking position is rotated towards the opening position in the state in which rotation of the door locking lever (53a) is stopped by the door latch unit (80), the connecting mechanism (T) does not enable rotation of the rotating shaft (53) to be in accordance with rotation of the door handle (52), and the door handle (52) is reset to the locking position when operation is no longer carried out.
