Abstract:
A waste heat recovery system (100) is configured so that a first heat exchanger (112) doubles as both a heating means and a cooling means, the heating means heating operating fluid circulating in a Rankine cycle circuit (110), the cooling means cooling supercharging air discharged from a supercharger (20). When an electric pump (111) fails, an expander (114) is driven by an engine (10) and a solenoid valve (120) is set to an open state to permit the circulation of the operating fluid to a bypass flow path (119). Thus the circulation of the operating fluid within the circuit is continued.
