Abstract:
This invention makes it possible to cool compressed intake air or recirculated exhaust gas supplied to an engine, through an intercooler or an EGR cooler, even when an expander is broken. A waste heat regeneration system having a Rankine circuit device is provided with a bypass flow path for connecting a first branch point installed downstream from the intercooler or EGR cooler and upstream from the expander, and a second branch point installed downstream from the expander and upstream from a condenser; and an open/close valve installed on the bypass flow path for providing communication with the bypass flow path when the expander is broken.
