Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a high-performance waste heat utilization device which can easily be mounted in a vehicle or the like and with which the manufacturing cost can be lowered. [Solution] The waste heat utilization device of Embodiment 1 is equipped with a drive system (1) having an engine (5) and a turbocharger (7) that supplies pressurized air to the engine (5), and a Rankine cycle (3a) that can be used in this system. The Rankine cycle (3a) has a coolant boiler (21) that performs a heat exchange with an operating fluid with a coolant as a heat source, and a pressurized air boiler (23) that performs a heat exchange with the operating fluid with pressurized air as a heat source. In addition, the Rankine cycle (3a) is provided with a first bypass passage (34) that causes the operating fluid to bypass the coolant boiler (21), and a three-way valve (35). With this waste heat utilization device it is possible to reduce the amount of heat absorbed by the operating fluid in the coolant boiler (21) by causing the operating fluid to flow through the first bypass passage (34).
