Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to insert waste into a waste accommodating space through a waste insertion opening without touching a waste flap, while satisfying the requirements of the United States Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). A waste flap 32 is held in an open position by a latch member 42. It is therefore possible to insert waste through a waste insertion opening 3006 without touching the waste flap 32. If the inside of a waste receptacle device body 24 reaches a set temperature or higher, the latch member 42 deforms and the latching of the waste flap 32 by the latch member 42 is released. Thus, the waste flap 32 swings from the open position under the weight thereof and assumes a closed position in which the waste insertion opening 3006 is closed, and the closed position is held under the weight of the waste flap 32. As a result, a space 38 is formed for preventing the spread of fire down a chute 30A, and the fire containment requirements of FAR (United States Federal Aviation Regulations) 25.853 are satisfied.
