Title:
WATCH CASE COMPRISING A BAYONET CONNECTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/071719
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The watch case comprises first and second parts (1, 2) that are joined together by a bayonet connection. The bayonet connection comprises at least one peg (5) defined by the first part (1) and at least one groove (3) defined by the second part (2). The groove (3) defines a tongue (9) and comprises a bottom (8) and an inlet (6) via which, while the first and second parts (1, 2) are being joined together, the peg (5) can be introduced into the groove (3) parallel to a determined axis (A), the peg (5) then being able to be guided towards the bottom (8) by a relative rotation of the first and second parts (1, 2) about the determined axis (A) and in a determined direction. The tongue (9) comprises an internal face (12) comprising a first, inclined portion (14) that extends in the direction of the bottom (8) as far as a determined point (P) and a second portion (15) that is located in the bottom (8), after the determined point (P). The first and second parts (1, 2) also comprise respective rigid surfaces (18, 17) that face one another in the direction of the determined axis (A). The watch case is characterized in that the second portion (15) of the internal face (12) of the tongue (9) is set back with respect to a plane (P2) that is perpendicular to the determined axis (A) and passes through the determined point (P), and in that the first and second parts (1, 2) are arranged such that, while they are being joined together, when they are in abutment against one another in the direction of the determined axis (A) by contact between the rigid surfaces (18, 17) and when the peg (5) is in the groove (3), a relative rotation of the first and second parts (1, 2) about the determined axis (A) and in the determined direction causes elastic deformation of the tongue (9) by engagement between the peg (5) and the first portion (14) of the internal face (12) of the tongue (9), the tongue (9) returning to its rest position once the peg (5) is located in the bottom (8) of the groove (3) in order to lock the peg (5) in position.
