Abstract:
Provided are a water-absorbing resin composition having excellent heat resistance after swelling, and a water-stopping material and a cable containing the composition. The water-absorbing resin composition according to the present invention contains water-absorbing resin particles and a phosphonic acid-based chelating agent. The phosphonic acid-based chelating agent is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 40 μmol per gram of the water-absorbing resin particles. The water-absorbing resin composition of the present invention has excellent heat resistance after swelling.
