Abstract:
A water-absorbing stretch knit fabric comprising a multilayer structure knit
fabric composed at least of two layers of surface layer and backside layer wherein
the surface layer contains a conjugated fiber multifilament yarn having two
types of polyester polymers bonded together in a side-by-side fashion along
the direction of fiber length in an amount of 30 % or more, characterized in that
the knit fabric exhibits such a water absorbency that the surface layer to backside
layer ratio of absorbed water retention is 2 or higher while the surface layer
to backside layer ratio of absorbed water diffusion area is 2 or higher, and that
the knit fabric exhibits, in the longitudinal and lateral directions, an average
extension ratio of 55% or higher and an average extension recovery ratio of 60%
or higher.
