Abstract:
Provided is water-based ink-jet ink with which satisfactory setting and image fastness are obtained even when printing on a recorded medium which does not absorb ink at all or absorbs ink with difficulty. The present invention pertains to a water-based ink composition used in an ink jet recording system, said composition being characterized by containing a color material, an aqueous medium, a binder resin, and a wax, wherein the binder resin contains an acid-modified polypropylene resin, and the wax contains polyethylene oxide wax.
