Abstract:
Provided is a water-based ink for inkjet recording that is capable of improving the optical density (OD value) of a recorded article written with the water-based ink without the need to increase the colorant concentration. The water-based ink for inkjet recording, according to the present invention, is characterized by including: a colorant; water; an acidic preservative; and at least one of a surfactant and a penetrant. The acidic preservative includes, for example, at least one of: polyunsaturated fatty acid or polyunsaturated fatty acid salt; and dehydroacetic acid or dehydroacetic acid salt.
