Abstract:
Provided are a water-based intumescent fire-resistant coating based on modified graphene oxide, and a method for fabrication thereof; said fire-resistant coating comprises water, a film-forming substance, a dehydration and carbon-forming catalyst, a blowing agent, a carbon-forming agent, a pigment and filler and flame retardant, expandable graphite, modified graphene oxide, a promoter, a water-based curing agent, and water. The modified graphene oxide is prepared and obtained by a reaction of graphene oxide, aminopropyl triethoxysilane, and triglycidyl isocyanurate with 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO). The fire-resistant coating is fabricated and obtained by uniformly mixing the components.
