Abstract:
Provided is a water-based lubricant for plastic processing that exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion and to moisture absorption without reducing lubricating properties such as lubricity, processability, and seizure resistance even in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. The water-based lubricant for plastic processing contains a resin component (A) that contains a copolymer or homopolymer, that contains at least maleic anhydride, of a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, an inorganic component (B), and a solid lubricant component (C).Therein, 10 to 80% of the maleic anhydride portion of the resin component (A) is blocked with a nitrogen-containing compound, and the degree of neutralization of unblocked maleic anhydride by an alkali component is 40 to 100%.
