Abstract:

The present invention addresses the problem of obtaining, inter alia: a water-based paint that allows color and coating irregularities to be minimized, that tends not to elute into glazes, and that has excellent fixing characteristics; and a ceramic comprising the water-based paint.　The problem is resolved by a water-based paint characterized in containing a coloring material, first cellulose nanofibers having a lignin content of 20-40 mass% and a water retention of 150-300%, and second cellulose nanofibers having higher viscosity than the first cellulose nanofibers, the Brookfield viscosity of said water-based paint being 600 cps or higher. The problem is alternatively resolved by a ceramic article, glass article, etc., obtained by drawing said water-based paint on a substrate, the surface of said substrate having silicic acid or a silicic acid compound as a main component.
