Abstract:
Provided is a water based ink for inkjet recording which exhibits excellent storage stability, for example no variation in colour tone and little variation in dispersed particle diameter, across an extended period at high temperatures. A water based pigment dispersing element for the preparation of a water based ink for inkjet recording, said water based pigment dispersing element containing an anionic-group-containing organic polymer compound, an organic pigment, an organic pigment inductor, and water, and having the polymer compound, the organic pigment, and the organic pigment inductor dispersed in the water. The water based pigment dispersing element is characterised in that a diketopyrrolopyrrole-based red pigment (A) and phthalimide alkylate quinacridone (B) are included as the organic pigment and the organic pigment inductor, and if the total of the two components is 100% in terms of mass, the phthalimide alkylate quinacridone (B) is 1.6-3.8%. Also provided is a water based ink for inkjet recording in which the water based pigment dispersing element is diluted such that the total of the organic pigment and the organic pigment inductor is 1-8% by mass.
