Title:
WATER-CONTENT METER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/047515
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention improves a water-content meter that measures the water content of a target object on the basis of the impedance of the target object, such that the water-content meter is capable of measuring the water content at a deep section of the target object. A sensor unit that senses water content comprises a positive voltage electrode 223 and a negative voltage electrode 224 and is configured so as to measure the impedance inside the target object by applying a prescribed voltage between the positive voltage electrode 223 and the negative voltage electrode 224. In addition, the sensor unit has provided therein a first magnet having an N pole that comes in contact with the target object and a second magnet having an S pole that comes in contact with the target object. A magnetic line of force B from the N pole in the former towards the S pole in the latter penetrates a current I from the positive voltage electrode 223 towards the negative voltage electrode 224, from the left. As a result, Lorenze's force F works on the current towards deep in the target object and the impedance can therefore be measured deep inside the target object.
