Abstract:
A water electrolysis apparatus (1) according to the present invention is provided with an electrode part which is configured to comprise: a positive electrode-side mesh electrode (140) that is electrically connected to a positive electrode (110); a polymer electrolyte membrane (120) that is superposed on the positive electrode-side mesh electrode so as to be adjacent thereto in the thickness direction; and a negative electrode-side mesh electrode (170) that is superposed on the polymer electrolyte membrane so as to be adjacent thereto in the thickness direction, while being electrically connected to a negative electrode (150). This electrode part is formed to have the shape of a roll that is wound around the positive electrode.
