Abstract:
A water electrolysis device (100) performance recovery method for recovering the performance of a water electrolysis device (100) comprising a water electrolyzer (10) having a solid polymer membrane (11), an anode (12) and a cathode (13), the performance recovery method comprising: a step in which the operating state of the water electrolysis device (100) is set to a low temperature operation state in which the temperature of water reaches a temperature lower than the temperature of water during normal operation when the water electrolyzer (10) performs water electrolysis; and a step in which current flows between the anode (12) and the cathode (13) when in the low temperature operation state.
