Abstract:
The present invention relates to a water gate apparatus having improved water discharge performance in which a water discharge rate per unit time increases when water within a lake inside a bank or water within a river is discharged downstream to prevent a deluge from occurring or prevent the bank from collapsing and also a simplified structure is additionally provided to an existing water gate apparatus to increase a water discharge rate per unit time. For this, in the water gate apparatus including a lift-type water gate and an opening device for opening and closing the water gate, a front lower end of an inlet side of the water gate may be curved in an arc shape or an iron plate having a curved portion may be welded or riveted to a front lower end of an existing water gate.
