Abstract:
The present invention provides a water hammer generation device configured so that the device can generate a predetermined water hammer by opening a water discharge valve having closed without generating a water hammer and then subsequently can continuously generate water hammers. A water hammer generation device is provided with: a water delivery pipe (3) for delivering water; a water hammer tank (2) connecting to the water delivery pipe (3); a water discharge pipe (10) provided downstream of the water hammer tank (2); and a water discharge valve (4) for opening and closing the water discharge pipe (10). An auxiliary water discharge pipe (20) connecting to the water delivery pipe (3) or to the water hammer tank (2) is provided upstream of the water discharge valve (4). A second water hammer generation means provided with an on-off valve (21) for opening and closing the auxiliary water discharge pipe (20) is provided at the inlet or in the middle of the auxiliary water discharge pipe (20).
