Abstract:
The present invention provides a water-level detecting device installed in a hot and cold water dispenser and detecting the amount of water contained in a space water tank, wherein the water-level detecting device comprises: a housing disposed so as to be exposed to the inside of the water tank that accommodates the water, and contacting either water or air depending on the amount of water inside the water tank, an opening being provided in a lower portion of the housing, a through-hole having a predetermined size being provided in a center portion of an upper portion of the housing, and an accommodating space being provided inside of the housing; a water-level detecting unit inserted into and coupled with the housing through the opening and the through-hole of the housing, and detecting the amount of water inside the water tank; and a controller installed in a portion of the hot and cold water dispenser, connected to the water-level detecting unit, and receiving transmission of information about the amount of water inside the water tank, said amount of water being detected by the water-level detecting unit. The housing is installed so as to be vertically coupled and facing upward from the lower end of the water tank, and the water-level detecting unit is vertically installed so as to face upward from the lower end of the water tank, and thus interference between components provided in the water tank is prevented such that the water-level inside the water tank can be easily detected. In addition, a capacitance sensor is passed through the housing and a portion thereof is exposed to the water tank, and thus the amount of water inside the water tank can be detected while the capacitance sensor is protected from the water by the housing.
