Abstract:
A water-lifting pump device and an operation control method for the pump device, where a discharge valve and a non-return valve can be eliminated to reduce costs, and vibration and noise caused by a waterfall after a water lifting operation can be suppressed. A water-lifting pump device has a water suction tank (10), a discharge tank (20), a pump (30) for lifting water in the water suction tank (10) to the discharge tank (20), discharge piping (50) connected to the discharge side of the pump, drive means (60) for driving the pump (30), a backflow- restricting mechanism (80) for restricting backflow of the water, lifted to the discharge tank (20), in the direction of the discharge piping (50), and waterfall flow rate control means (90) for controlling the flow rate of water falling from the discharge piping (50) to the water suction tank (10) when a water lifting operation is completed.
